The Corona pandemic has shifted the in-person\ninterview to video interview creating a major shift in the traditional form of\nhiring and it has become the new \u2018normal\u2019.  Video Interviews can be a\ngreat challenge for the job seekers that’s why it is very important to practice\nand practise before you are actually ready to face the interviewer. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check on that Wi-Fi connection.  A poor internet connection can\ncompletely mess up the rapport you are having with the interviewer. Do a dry run\nwith your friend and make sure you can be seen on the camera and also you can\nhear and be heard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOOK AT THE CAMERA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your camera should be at an eye level. Don\u2019t look down or certainly not\nthe video cutting your head, set up the laptop in such a way that you look at\nthe camera directly. Practice your response with your friend or a mirror.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose a background that is not too distracting. You can opt for a\nvirtual background and make sure that you are facing the light source and the\nlight should never be behind your head or facing the camera because it will be\ndifficult for the interviewer to clearly see your face. Do not sit in a dimly\nlit room<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PREPARE FOR COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prepare for common interview questions that you could expect an employer\ncould ask such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
